The XVIII International Festival of Chamber Performances Based on F.M. Dostoevsky Works

7 - 12 november, 2014, Veliky Novgorod


The creative event presenting the performances by professional theaters united under the theme "Creativity of F.M. Dostoevsky" aims to promote the literary heritage of the great Russian writer by means of theatrical art.

The scientific part of the project is presented by the seminar "The stage embodiment of F.M. Dostoevsky works in modern theater space" with the participation of leading figures of Russian theatrical art.

The exhibition projects prepared by the Literary memorial museum of F.M. Dostoevsky in St. Petersburg will operate within the framework of the festival in the city of Veliky Novgorod.

The grand opening of the festival will take place on the stage of Novgorod Academic Drama Theatre named after F.M. Dostoevsky, the closing ceremony will be held in the House-museum of F.M. Dostoevsky in Staraya Russa, in Veliky Novgorod. As part of the closing ceremony the performance "N.F.B." – the laureate of the XVII Theater forum – by Novgorod Academic Drama Theatre named after F.M. Dostoevsky will be shown.
